There are more and more online vacation websites popping up every day.  We've listed the most reliable ones below with a brief review of each.

Expedia - (See Review Below) The best place to book online. Offers a wider variety of packages and larger discounts than other online services.  It's also easy to use and you can read other traveller's reviews and ratings about each hotel before you decide where to stay.

TravelWorm - Also very easy to use.  They have a large selection and lots of detailed information on each hotel.  However you get a list of how much it costs per person per night so you end up having to do the math yourself when you're comparing prices.

Priceline - While not as easy to use as Expedia, they do offer some excellent low prices if you hit at just the right time. They also offer last minute package deals if you're not picky about where you're staying in Vegas. We also like their "Pricebreakers" section where you can find last minute low price deals to favorite vacation destinations.

Vacation Outlet - Standard prices. Not as easy to use and the selection isn't as large as the above - but it may at least give you something to compare against.

So which online travel agent is the best?

Well, you can look around but personally we have found Expedia offers the cheapest packages and is the easiest to use.

While many places say they give great packages Expedia actually delivers.

(It's also the 4th largest travel agency in the U.S. so you have the peace of mind knowing that your vacation plans are in the hands of experienced professionals who will be around if you need help.)

Here's a review of our experience when booking our Las Vegas trip with Expedia:

When we booked our last Las Vegas trip, we checked all of the popular online booking websites and couldn't find the quality or volume of discount Vegas packages that Expedia offered.

We even tried our travel agent.  She had us driving to another airport 3 hours away and paying over $1000 MORE for virtually the same trip that we could get at Expedia (and we didn't have to drive for 3 hours to get to another airport with Expedia either).

The prices were simply lower at Expedia - hundreds of dollars lower.

It's very easy to search vacation packages with Expedia.  For the not-so-computer savvy (like us) easy is good. Some other sites feel like you're exploring the lost jungle of vacations before you actually find a list of Vegas hotel and airfare packages.

Once you get a list of vacation packages, you can also research each Vegas hotel, find out what it looks like, what services it offers and even what other people think about it (see traveller opinions on the left side of the page).

Expedia also offered many vacation packages that we didn't find anywhere else.

We enjoyed one of the best Vegas 4 star hotels right on the Las Vegas strip for 6 days - for an incredibly low price - a deal we didn't find advertised anywhere else but on Expedia.

I'm not sure how they do it - but it seems that Expedia offers unique vacation deals that no one else has. You also can sometimes get special discounts by booking online.

Because Expedia is the world’s leading online travel service and the 4th largest travel agency in the U.S, they have the experience you look for when booking a trip.  They go out of their way to make booking your trip simple and easy to understand.

When we booked our first Vegas vacation online, I had several questions about what to expect.  My husband called their customer support line and was almost immediately connected to a travel representative (no getting put on hold for 2 hours like some help lines!).

He had all of his questions answered and the travel representative told him exactly what to expect.  He was off the phone in 5 minutes with all of our questions answered - very reassuring for a first time online booking experience.

Given our experience with Expedia, I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get the best deal on their Las Vegas trip.
